- Classic no-frills Wedge Runner silhouette, elegant, comfortable fit, not too bulky and not too weak, neutral, timeless, cool
- Extremely thick and soft EVA mixture and therefore excellent comfort for many kilometers
- Offered in various respiratory activity / water resistance levels: Mesh (perfect foot climate, unfortunately, nothing for rainy days or cloudy = summer), nylon-suede upper (easily breathable, holds only a few drops, but is very soft and comfortable = transitional period + Full year), full leather suede / suede (you sweat pretty quickly and the sweat is absorbed something from the leather, because internally lined with cotton, keeps light showers, but when it rains quickly soaked = rounder whole year + transitional period)
- Deep-treaded classic Waffle rubber sole (rubber Not like now common plastic mixtures with which you slide!) And perfectly designed with large contact areas for impact on the heel and road contact, but etws distance for forest passages and slippery surfaces = rounder
- In well and comfortably upholstered, nowhere annoying transitions
Especially in timeless gray or black newly recommended offer price for under 65 euros even today and definitely a thousand times better than, say, the overvalued Air Max model. Had the chance to get new new in the store offer the appropriate size and good color for 65 euros to the Air Max model. Brand and hype I do not care, ride comfort, appearance and durability and practical use, however, does not. Thus, tried and even the air cushion (the Air System) in the Air Max I felt nothing, went 0 loss fast or slow, the sole was at least 3 times as hard as the Pegasus 83 (come on the market significantly, 1983). Thus, the Air Max completely unattractive and even the optics were despite Preiverfall from 110 euros to 65 euros for me at the foot gave me did not like (too bulky). On the other hand I had the Pegasus and was on cloud 7. comfort, appearance, material selection = everything worked.
I am therefore not really brand affinity or bound. If a product has good features and a useful price / performance value, then the use value proposition is fulfilled, although we know that it is only a bonded mass shoe but maintains, however due to the simple construction and the thick rubber sole long (> 3 years). It is also important to mention that the Pegasus is stable in value and does not harden with age, since the EVA mixture by holding long without auszudünsten and break. Therefore original 80 models are also available today, amazingly, still viable, whereas each solid rubber sole has become hard as plastic and has no more grip and when rolling breaks (like an old car tire yourself full profile according to many years no longer has any value in use) ,
I remained true in all decades of Pegasus family reasons mentioned above. It has been found that has worked with different hard damping hardnesses and also heels and soccer field now and have been more or less well damped:
1983 - Pegasus 83 = little camber, front sufficiently thick in the football field, very soft, continuous EVA blend
1989 - Pegasus 89 = more fall towards the front football field + harder damping on other basis than EVA, similar to the hard ENCAP system of New Balance = much more uncomfortable than the '83 model, to also bulkier and Lined thicker, thus more welding
1992 - Pegasus 92 = very thick sole, typically 90 all sweats rounded and too clunky to Hip Hop Style, damping very hard and barely noticeable, supporting plastic elements on the sides, but less camber than 89er model, fed dick = you too much
from about 2010 = Nike Pegasus 29+ = not fall, thick front and rear damping, extremely soft and reactive damping, extremely airy and thin and soft constructed + internal soft insole and heel back in no extra cushioning layer (well, since the outside yet tender + heel enough to withstand more than bales), but a red interior extra cushioning layer has been incorporated in the football field, which causes a himmliches wearing. It is after more than 100 shoes comfortable shoes, I know, but you have to buy a whopping 2 numbers greater in Nike jogging shoes him as always, you have reached its optimal minimum size. The shoe concentrated anywhere and is suitable for vacation, leisure, office (in black or gray), jogging, gym (but not suitable for heavy squats as too soft and yielding), treadmill, everything but unfortunately all-round use on holiday with changeable Weather + Winter = for Mesh. And this is where there is the Pegasus 29 Shield models, then you can take the shoes to replace every light trekking shoe that provides maximum comfort at the end. Front also cut wide and clever design of outdoor simulated elegant, thin sole, which is only painted but and therefore remains almost through thick = awesome
from about 2013 = Nike Pegasus 30 model. And now come, unlike the 29er model, small but subtle changes to the game: The fall has once again become a little more, the load area increases in football, if you walk slowly or beginners. For the shoe has become more elegant than the 29er model, something narrower and shallower cut in the front foot area. The internal damping layer beneath the insole is now continuous from heel to soccer field. Look better than the 29er model, ride comfort is still very high, but no match for the wide and flat section of the 29er predecessor.
From the comfort of the Pegasus models are of the left (very soft and comfortable with little camber) to the right (hard, uncomfortable and in addition also still ugly (ok, that's subjective, but the way I feel, feels based on the best seller comically ground also) ):
Pegasus 29> 83 Pegasus> Pegasus 30> 89 Pegasus> Pegasus 92
Many people will not be interested in the great because shoes are often bought only because of the optics. However, such models also far more likely to end up then quickly than used on the market (almost not worn), which confirmed me again at the end of that convenience and benefits is not made happy again. I see, for example, rarely 29er and 30er models as used in markets and if, then only in unusable colors (for colored or completely Uni = boring Swoosh not visible) or because they were bought too small. The 92er model, however, I see very often on offer :) plus removed a millimeter. The '83 model more frequently than the 29er and 30er models, but only in small quantities or to B-goods or poor color combinations, and if everything fits, then as always Normal price too expensive. With a little patience but then decreases at good dealers, the price in the off-season short at under 65 euros, and then one should strike quickly.
PS Amazon has after all the security that you can return the goods back. This is very important as it has ever happened to me, that the '83 model a defective production (B-Ware) was, but it was not declared as such (the offer price was too low and thus was bought extremely cheap). There the '83 model, the damping layer was processed front too thin and irregular and therefore the shoe did not look good and also the running when rolling was no longer safe, because you went to as a bump and is slumped forward. Then I had a week of fun to come back to my money and as always you had to appeal to a higher level, so that the plane has moved under it. Not so here at Amazon.
Conclusion: very good, comfortable, hard wearing and top designter rounder, especially in nylon / Sude and full-suede combinations and if available new for less than 65 euros. The mesh variations I would avoid because they are very airy, but every drop and every dirt to pass through (unless you have 2 Pegasus models). Certain, above Pegasus models as well as ours Pegasus 83 fall fully under the Framework Programme of the manufacturer, since they are much more convenient than about 75% of the remaining shoes this manufacturer. It seems as if in classics (cash cows) not many experiments are tried (to keep the customer) and that's a good thing. There is no need to improve it. From the size I would always take 2 sizes larger if one wants to use them for anything. Who wants to take them only as a shoe for everyday wear, can be happy even with larger sizes 1.5. But I would take to safety always 2 sizes larger, since the foot swells with much running and at inclinations from sliding forward and needs space.
