The company opted for the Complete C3 Comfort EcoLine Plus, not least because of the convenient remote control on the handle and the HEPA AirClean Feinstaubfilter. The device has been used as Amazon delivered quickly.
Our assessment after the first few days (based only on the essential aspects):
+++ +++ Positive
=> The suction power of 700 W motor - even in small stages - and not significantly lower than with our old S 734 (1800 W)
=> The handling in conjunction with the Comfort handle is well resolved and ergonomically almost perfectly. The hose connection is pivotally mounted to the handle shaft, which facilitates maneuvering again.
=> The housing at both ends attached parking bracket is useful for space-saving storage. The Park-cam to the nozzle can be readily used in the support structure and not hakeln.
=> The rubber-tyred castors sensitive soils are optimally protected. The sucker can be easily pull behind like a toy. He does not stick to it even when driving over the power cord, because the wheel receivers are designed higher than in older devices. Through a continuous rubber flap ungentle Rempler of furniture or door frames remain without visible consequences.
=> The cable rewind, triggered by gently tapping the foot control, work quickly and powerfully. But if you do so, hold the plug by hand, so that he (painful to the ankles or) proposes not with force against the housing.
=> The vacuum cleaner is solidly built, designed thoughtfully and Miele typically excellent workmanship. Design and feel of the materials used give a high quality impression.
=> The weight of the Complete C3 is an empty dust bag only about 5.4 kg. Thus it can be worn comfortably and easily stowed.
ooo ooo neutral
=> Overall, the noise is at a low level indeed, but it will - particularly at higher power levels - not lower than our perceived 13 year old S 734
=> The regulation of suction strength is possible only via the (battery-powered) Comfort handle. On the device itself is only a foot switch for on / off. If the battery in the handle empty the engine starts only with the highest suction level.
--- --- Negative
=> On the handle is unfortunately no side air-regulation exists. Reduced capacity (eg when vacuuming curtains) does not help much. The suction is too strong for some applications even on the lowest setting.
=> The supplied AirTeQ floor nozzle SBD 650-3 is approximately 2 cm higher than the previous model SBD 285-2 and unfortunately has no optimum shape. The obliquely rising backward lever of the bristle switch and the backward tapered nozzle midsection act when vacuuming under furniture as barbs, so the nozzle can easily get stuck in retreat. Happen to us on a regular basis under the fabric edge of the couch. In addition, the floor nozzle squeals when vacuuming parquet or laminate floors. Both annoying total, although the suction nozzle is great in itself.
=> The release of the dust chamber cover protrudes to some extent into the area of the handle into it and also has a fairly weak lock that opens the lid even with a light touch. Who has thicker fingers or accidentally times somewhat carelessly touches the handle which it may happen that the dust chamber cover when lifting the device pops up down.
Despite the aforementioned criticisms outweigh the positive aspects. Miele has certainly constructed here a good and powerful device. Because of the not optimally designed floor nozzle and the lack of secondary air regulators allow me but deducted a star.
