The Basics

The 'Power plug Pro' is one of the few chargers specified by the manufacturer 2.1A. Many devices, such as tablets, need to charge the battery or the existing one 'higher' minimal existing amperage than is the case with, for example, smartphones or MP3 players. This is specified in A (amp) and is generally in the above 2.1A. Not at the required amperage charging is usually denied by the instrument or approved, at best, only with considerably longer charging time.
Smaller devices, such as the aforementioned smartphones or MP3 players, mostly come from the factory with chargers to 1A. This is for those devices usually also sufficient, since the installed batteries here compared to tablets have a significantly lower capacity and are thus relatively quickly charged with 1A. The downside, however, the work most chargers with 1A at the maximum of their capabilities and thus be very warm. Chargers with 2.1A possess greater reserves here and therefore are not usually so warm. Another advantage in the use of 2.1A chargers is the fact that the charging process may significantly more quickly even than with a 1A charger. Here you need to make no worries about overloading the battery, because the existing in the device or in the battery charging circuit is only the current from the charger takes it needs. Seen have 2.1A charger or almost only advantages - except for the size.
The Product

The 'Power plug Pro' is well equipped and relatively cheap with the specified 2.1A for many current products. Through the angled design and 2.1A the charger runs large, but is significantly less than it does in the pictures appear. The build quality is good according to the price / average. Like the Power Plug 2 USB port is also attached here a little crooked, but otherwise fine and stable. The meaning of the LED reveals itself to me not because this only indicates that the electrical outlet. A charging status of the device is of course not visible, hence you would have this LED also may be the same save. The charging time for a Nexus S and iPod Touch 3G seem ok and are better or on a par with the power supply provided by the manufacturer. Only with an iPad 1 AC adapter supplied by Apple seems to load a little faster.
Since the charger is also barely warm I forgive because of the good price / performance ratio four star.
