The service is a bit strange if you're used Garmin watches. Specifically, the setting of the individual data fields for running is not quite that simple, but doable after some training time. Unfortunately, the menu structure is not really good. For example, have to adjust to the alarm time you press the same button 7 times to enter this menu.
Nevertheless, the clock is actually outstanding.
Unfortunately, there are three points, for which I can forgive the clock only 2 points:
1) GPS-receiver interruptions:
If the GPS reception is temporarily lost during a run caused large measurement errors.
Example: I have a home round of exactly 10km length. This running track four short tunnels, each with about 30-50m length are included. In the tunnel immediately the GPS signal is lost and only a bit behind the tunnel resumed. The non-recorded track is lost. The error on my home round is therefore between 300 and 400m (which are 3-4%).
A Garmin Forerunner 310XT solves the problem quite simply that he intends to find the route of the last recorded point before the tunnel and to count a line first after the tunnel again recorded point. This works very well and there is almost no deviations from the route (error on the track with Garmin 310XT always less than 1%, usually less than 0.5%). This was an example only.
The problem of short-term GPS interruption can sometimes occur on forest trails. At the end one can therefore not be certain whether the track is right or whether greater measurement errors exist by brief interruptions of the GPS connection.
2) memory.
The memory of my clock shows now at only 12% capacity. But there are clear the memory on the clock no way. This can be done solely on the PC software. Since I do not use the software, I can use the clock soon probably no longer use, or do I have me play the software on the PC.
Why not just automatically deletes the memory of the oldest record when new data to come?
What do athletes who can in training camp while having no PC ..... then no longer work with the clock, when the memory is full?
3) Service:
The third point is not a problem of the clock, but actually worse. After inquiry of my problems by e-mail to the services of Timex unfortunately came no Feedback. Something I find particularly unfortunate.
