After a long search I have in the Amazon "EMSA 505,088 BASIC Salad spinner" discovered (by the way "Made in Germany"). The information here are relatively sparse and the previous review was not very useful, but for such a low price I thought that you really can not go wrong. Was important to me, especially a crank and no cable. Since only one product photo was to be found here, I have for all potential buyers two additional photos posted showing the inner bowl and the lid from the inside.
The salad spinner has a diameter of about 24 cm and a height of about 13 cm. As Capacity 4 liters are given, and I would say from the feeling that the exterior of the bowl is valid (the inside must still somehow fit in and is therefore somewhat smaller).
Before the first wash the spin smelled something like plastic, but this has put back after flushing. Since I have no dishwasher and must dry the spin by hand, I noticed that the lid is a bit cumbersome to dry from the inside, because you have to reach under use. In principle, however not a disadvantage, if necessary, air dry.
We come to the main application, the salad spinners: The recessed crank (good for stacking additional bowls, cans, etc.) can be easily and without resistance rotate. The water is collected in the outer bowl and the salad is nice and dry afterwards.
For the price you can not do anything wrong in my opinion, therefore a buy recommendation from my side.
Short update on 20/10/2012
The salad spinner is still working :). More by chance I noticed that one can very well remove the element. This makes the drying course, much easier.
Incidentally, I thank all the readers of my review: 51 of 51 people found my review helpful so far. Since I'm almost a little speechless.
Update 10/11/2104
Actually, I wanted already for some time again populating a quick update. The salad spinner still doing its job. By chance and try it, I have found during drying that the salad spinner can even be completely dismantled into its individual parts. A photo with the completely disassembled salad spinner I have already inserted. That you can disassemble it, may certainly be regarded as advantages and disadvantages. In principle, I think it is advantageous if a device can be disassembled without problems for cleaning. On the other hand, it is also a bit awkward when the salad spinner each time must be disassembled in order to dry even in the smallest corners. Had she made of one piece, it would probably be easier. But that must have each decide for themselves.
