Now it seems but to be such that the case offered here is not the same as the individually offered - it lacks LNB and cable. That says the description, if you noticed that both are not mentioned at all!
I have the set given 5 stars because the individual components are mostly rated with 5 stars. But the product description to see exactly in order not to be disappointed. And if the set is still cheaper if you need to buy the LNB and cable, remains an open question.
Now I would like to have provided links to my reviews of both components, but that is not allowed - so here are some excerpts.
First, the case:
The manual is available in German and in considerable detail. Highly commendable is the appendix "azimuth and elevation table" - that really helps, especially on the way !!!
Compass and spirit level are probably more suitable for a child's birthday. The compass has a diameter of 2.5 cm, the water level is 3.0 cm long. What do you want in order to start in the digital age?
To adjust the elevation angle, an angular scale is engraved on the bowl support. Although a bit small, but more space was not available.
The suction cup is a separate thing. In the manual is a bit of "pressing". If you have mastered the trick only once, you can hang off an elephant. But I would trust a sucker ever! Eventually it always falls off.
The mounting hardware is good for growing on a pole or on a board. But who has such a thing as a camper? Register now! Using a tripod you are naturally "off the hook".
In the lid of the case a compartment for utensils is available where you can accommodate all mounting hardware. And space for a (not too big) receiver is in the suitcase also available. Very convenient!
It lacks a few plastic washers so that the metal bolts do not scratch the paint. Finally, when camping, the system is assembled and dismantled every few days.
Now to the tripod:
It is made of sturdy aluminum, all moving joints are no match - because nothing wobbles. Unfortunately, one has also here "Lost" washers to scratch marks are so over time to adjust.
The upper pipe section is rotatable so that you ever "fixed popping" may the bowl. You can turn very sensitively on the upper pipe the bowl then, even when tightening "verreißt" nothing, unlike the fortifications from the suitcase.
The promised herring are tent nails (refer to the Wikipedia entry) and in a meadow very helpful, in the sand of course, far too short, and otherwise more a publicity stunt. The tripod is also quite stable because of its sprawling legs. In wind of course you have to do something. For example, you can dig your legs a bit and then forking out stones.
The pack size is 99x14x12 cm, without the upper tube 84x14x12 cm. A very nice "inhabitants" So - but the legs and the lower tube are each a coarse piece of aluminum, because it's just not small. A telescopic version to the detriment of stability, and would cost many times over. In any case, the stand does not fit into the suitcase.
