Affordable, great functionality, possibility for tuning but operation and picture quality could be better

The D-Link DCS-933L / E camera scores feature luxurious equipment that offer only much more expensive systems otherwise. Unfortunately, the service is not quite as comfortable as its big brothers (Big Brother - pun - jokes aside) and especially the image quality leaves much to be desired. With a maximum resolution of 640x480 pixels can only hope that one knows the guy who just empty acknowledges the apartment on the monitor image from somewhere, because otherwise namely the search for Mr. pixels rather not likely to lead to the desired success. The pictures are simply not good enough. (See customer pictures)
And a room even close completely monitor - if it is not just dealing with the local gym where you screwed the camera in one of the top corners - you can forget about the absence of wide-angle lens. (See customer's photos, compared with the Devolo dLAN LiveCam Starter Kit, the thing has namely a wide-angle lens)

- Absurd short power cord (which the WLAN functionality sometimes calls into question)
- Device and AC adapter become warm during operation palpable

Why four stars nevertheless? Because you have to invest significantly for the many functions that the device offers for the price with other manufacturers more and also partially paid premium services and use -abos. The DCS-933L / E was a whole week on the watch, while I was on vacation, and could in time monitor whether the flowers were cast as promised. Do not worry, the housekeeper were informed and did their job well. In this one week I got nearly 500 emails of alarm events - most of which, unfortunately, false. Disable the alarm messages via mobile app, I did not succeed, even though the app has shown the opposite, but I was still tons of mail from hypersensitive camera.
And I did not know that my in-laws have the flowers supplied lovingly, I would have done me a hard time with the identification. The picture quality is really not that famous.
The also attached Logitech Alert has produced not a single false alarm and you could tell who is in the image always - but for triple the price.

If you choose only certain areas of the image to be monitored from the false alarms can be significantly reduced.

The mini black wide-angle and macro lens object for iPhone 4 / 4S, HTC, Samsung, Nokia, digital cameras, etc. has arrived and is working fine. The field of view can thus extend on favorable way - the distortion towards the edges and vignetting (since the conversion lens can be attached to not closer to the camera lens) are an acceptable evil. Since the latest firmware update via the iPod attachment lens prevents switching IR filter to night vision - at least it's never occurred to me before the update. The magnet in the wide-angle lens is the culprit. Now he has to believe in it; I'll try to build it and the lens is glued afterwards.
Anyone who plans to carry out the tuning with such a lens, should be equal to a set without magnet, which is attached by means of a clip, remove it and stick the lens.
