I run the adapter on one a few years old Sony flat screen, the power supply via the USB Schnitstelle works fine, the separate power supply is not needed (yet one more for crawling box ...).

The connection worked right away. Before the firmware update, however, were often on disconnections and dropouts. Since the firmware update (version 2.4.26), the adapter works great with my Nexus 5. any dropouts even with Full HD videos more, perfect for slide shows.

In Update mode, but I had problems with my PC build (Sony Vaio) to connect to the adapter (spanned WiFi was not displayed). Then work with my old ausus netbook. Could be a problem for the occasional user.

Without firmware update not to need!
