Pro:
- Very short close range !!
- Of course, the 2.8F with the shallow depth of field (as the 10mm at 30cm distance)
- Excellent sharpness (hardly maladjustments, focus where it should be)
- Still brilliant natural colors, contrast as real
- Whisper
- Bokeh evenly and around
- Super excuse to buy an FX camera)
Con:
- Beefy, big, pretentious - a Klotz
- Difficult (camera etzwas front heavy, but not nearly like the 70-300VRII 4.5-5.6)
- Hard (. Camera Bag with Strap = back pain Better backpack)
- Hard (permanent fault any of the arm from, Muscle Building Exercises recommended)
- No filter (Attention: Front lens curvature was also not clear to me before)
- Cold sweat when changing lenses: This thing is big and quite thick and if it 'gets dropped are 1800 - gone
- Probably. little overkill on a DX camera, but that one can change)
No matter:
- I have not yet missed VR
- Price I find now (I initially cursed) justified
Conclusion: It is well noticed that my lens really is too heavy (see Cons.).
And yet it is worth me 5 stars, because let me opportunities when taking the weight quickly forgotten.
I love this block of lead.
Are there better lenses? Definitely - but definitely not for my wallet.
Would I buy it again, but if it would steal me? Definitely!
If I wanted to write a Schwärmrezension? No. But then probably a become: D
