It starts with a beautiful harmony of male voices in "Sigh No More", then comes right said "The Cave" and a good deal after another. The first songs are significantly happier still. The album lays especially in the last third considerably in intensity and drama to (eg "Thistle & Weeds"), culminating in a mad crescendo at the penultimate track "Dust Bowl Dance". And in the end, finally, the quieter "After the Storm" - after the storm, somehow fitting in the truest sense of the word.
PS Now another tip to everyone who, like me stand on something rough, yet soulful male voices which insistently, like slightly dramatic, sometimes a bit "suffering" sing: Mumford & Sons There are unfortunately only a regular album (I hope, Here are plenty of other good) - Look also times to the existing repertoire of Damien Rice, Ryan Adams (but please not the last III / IV, which only consists of outtakes, but the previous albums), Two Gallants and Bright Eyes ( Conor Oberst), although the latter has not so rough voice, but can keep up to drama certainly.
