But Sony does with the A58 again everything right. A high-quality but still reasonably compact camera with excellent picture quality and great service.
I am again landed after a trip to the NEX system at the Sony Alphas because they are still superior to the combination of image quality and service in my opinion the NEX cameras.
Clearly one needs at a DSLT more drag, but with a telephoto, standard zoom, and possibly one or two fixed focal lengths, the equipment still holds as part of what is tolerable.
The new 18-55mm lens has convinced me. Unlike its predecessor on the otherwise also very good A37, the new model is much more workable and also the picture quality seems to me to clearly elevated.
For beginners certainly a good model, serious photographers but quickly resort to other lenses. Recommended (albeit expensive) is the Sony Zeiss 16-80mm lens, which almost always depends on the A58 at me.
Mich Sony won with the A58 again after the NEX series my world has not become due to the confusing (in my opinion) operation.
Fortunately Sony experimented with the A58 here not around, everything is as usual.
Also included with the camera should a battery charger be mentioned. Sony saves here more recently so (even with the expensive RX1) firmly on accessories and conceded vigorously from hindsight.
That the display is not completely rotated, bothers me a little, just that lack of a command dial. But for the price you just have to take a few compromises.
So if a compact but still high-quality DSLR or DSLT investigated will not be disappointed. For me, an (almost) perfect camera that I gladly highly recommend.
