By comparison, the new Ultimate vs Plus (look out for my clients pictures)
- The Ultimate are again a good bit whiter than the Plus. I have clear-glass headlamps and depending on the position the lamps shine even bluish in the reflector of the headlight.
- The road looks even brighter than before when driving at night already. Who will change from standard bulbs on this one, is a big surprise.
Facts for life:
- The HB4 socket has an enormous advantage - it is the base in which the same bulbs from the same manufacturer last the longest. For stability of the Ultimate Plus version has not changed. Osram indicates: 97% of all light bulbs last at least. 250h and yet 37% of all lamps hold over 500 hours. (For comparison, in the same lamp socket H4 is the durability only 80h / 160h, in H7 is about 150/250)
- You can help to keep the lamps longer: First, start the car, and only then switch on the low beam. And after driving first make the lamps, then make cars. To avoid voltage peaks by the alternator.
- Who has a car with high light wear can still install a voltage spike suppressor for 15 euro, this ensures by means of developed Zener diode for the all remaining spikes are "swallowed" occur during operation.
If one considers the above tips, you will (like me) have a long fun with the variant of this HB4 bulbs.
