Against shower water resistant small sound Bolide

Before I could do anything wrong, I have asked myself what waterproof "IPX4" actually means. The name suggests it is equal to: Waterproof is not waterproof! IPX4 only means protection against splash water (regardless of direction), there are quite higher tightness classes. Nevertheless, this Bluetooth speaker eg easily be used while showering -. Otherwise the whole thing would be pointless anyway. I have several times the spotlight the shower for a few seconds kept after some hesitation, aware directly to the speaker, who was mounted vertically on a tile. No problem, the loudspeakers, a half hour later removed and tested again, still no problem, wiped dry and well.

So "IPX4 protection against splashes" is easy enough, but to submerge in the bath is probably not useful ...

And the sound? Means I can combine my "apple" family (z. B. iPod 5, iPhone 5S) easily Bluetooth, no disconnections. FM stations könnenen on the 1st floor with us well - very well received (eg NDR 2, NDR 90.3.), Otherwise it rushes but more or less. Radio but you can also hear better than corresponding apps (with Bluetooth).

Volume is almost no problem, even when you turn over, you can not hear anything. The volume control for Bluetooth reception I like that, at the lowest level FM mE is but too loud. To just listen to soft music, it should go quietly ...

Power supplies of speakers otherwise more than enough! As a classic full-range speaker (mono) can understand such. B. football results while showering loudly and clearly enough, according to untwist easily and relatively free of distortion even at higher volume! As a small Downfire Subi radiates sound downwards towards suction cup. "Sticks" the speaker z. B. to a tile or glass wall, amplifies the sound physically and causes a much better volume. Musically a good solution, I like that.

Not audiophile, but while showering the surprisingly clear sound is hardly necessary, possible, as I said also in demand very loud.

Initially plastic smell, otherwise a visually pop phenomenon, not boring at all, on the contrary. Good operability, the gray pushbuttons are not always easily recognizable (unlit). The suction cup holds incidentally also very good, has not succeeded in bisheigen tests.

So everything remains faithful tight even the 5V connection (USB), a convincing sound in the bathroom, if necessary, also suitable in other rooms. The speaker keeps therefore, what the manufacturer promises, that's not always the case. Buy / Hörtipp - 4 points (deduction WG volume control FM.).

Incidentally, also nice gift idea for people who supposedly have everything already :-)
