Addendum of 24/06/2014: (memory still works properly.)
I was asked if the memory works in M17R3. According to Kingston: Yes =>
Here's a general tip Compatibility of storing at this example:
You google to Kingston, go to Kingston.com/de, click on memory - System Specific Memory - notebooks, select Alienware, then M17, then R3 and it is
(Among others) 8GB modules - DDR3 1600MHz - SKU: KVR16S11 / 8 displayed. This SKU can now beautifully typing on Amazon - just be aware that the number at the item fits precisely because Amazon partly also displays different results.
This is basically with notebooks, PCs, printers and multifunction devices so (and similarly at Corsair) and you can be relatively sure that the memory afterwards also works. If it then ever but does not work, you did at least his best and can be the storage yes still return.
Warning: I have already seen that a device was not useful to open and I ultimately the memory despite compatibility could not install, so for very small notebooks check beforehand.
