The Sony BDP-S5500 is simply a great device and too loud drive noise I can view after several Blurays and DVDs confirm not, noise is absolutely in order. A special plus of this device is its extremely compact and practical form, so that it perfectly fits in very narrow shelves or barrier :) 3D and super fast Wi-Fi is available here, so that the connection of a LAN cable is not required. Here I can only express a strong buy recommendation, after I have previously worked with the Panasonic DMP-BDT235, who tended quite to loud noises of the drive.
