Positive:
+ The picture is very clear, uniformly bright, with rich colors (LG: uneven light, Benq: to bright colors, blotchy-yellow white, halos, but significantly better image than the LG, because another panel).
+ The base is very solid, has a pivot function, the screen is well adjusted in all directions, in particular, the height adjustment is in my view appropriate (some were only tilted, the LG slightly better than the Benq).
+ There are three preset profiles (Text, Custom, sRGB), which are also configurable via a bundled software, it also can be assigned to programs, which is useful if you eg. For Photoshop settings other than for Word needs (other monitors were well ok, but no one was connected via USB to the computer, so you had everything on the monitor to adjust).
+ The monitor is suitable for all applications, but I had while playing (how to read everywhere) only to the slight motion blur used (as was the Benq from my perspective a little better, the LG despite lower response time inferior because dark colors do not always distinguishable were). The focus for me is in the office sector, for long (working) day on the Eizo PC is ideally suited.
+ Built-in speakers save desktop space, the quality is sufficient for Windows sounds, but they are not for the discerning listener.
Negatives:
- The price is high, but there are also five-year warranty incl onsite exchange..
- The adjustment to other monitors are somewhat limited, you can not adjust the contrast, which is not even necessary, is indeed necessary, also via the graphics card. The picture is also so outstanding. Since I have connected the monitor via DVI, I can not say anything about setting options in analog mode.
- My first Eizo had unfortunately centered defective pixels, but it was no problem to send him back and order a new monitor (Amazon is really accommodating!). Pixel errors are otherwise rarely occur with Eizo monitors, my present has none.
Overall I give the monitor five stars (despite some criticism) because he is the exactly the right monitor for my needs. Anyone who wants to learn more about the Monitor, in prad.de reviews and experiences can read, but should not be completely unsettling, ultimately decides anyway the subjective impression when the monitor is facing.
