Since I have probably one of the best (alternative) rock debut albums of 2010 until 2011 finally heard a slight delay - but better late than never. Above all, I'm apparently in this respect in society, but still not regularly find Light Me Up at some local record dealers the vicinity currently on the shelf, but must be ordered on request only - what will hopefully change in the near future, because:
Almost all killer, no filler, I can not be stated by 40 minutes of play, this New York band is an absolute discovery for those with a sound somewhere between Skew Siskin and Pink by (noted in its harder moments well!) Can start something , The current 17-year old singer Taylor Momsen has the perfect rock singer, from lascivious to aggressively they shoutet itself - "Lost between Elvis and suicide" - through ten songs that deserve this title also because the all of Momsen herself and her bandmates Ben Phillips (g) and Kato Khandwaha (g / b) written tracks screw up so ear that you immediately want to hit play at the end of the CD.
Sustainable catchy opener of My Medicine and the single Make Me Wanna, the, the theme song Light Me Up reminds sometimes something to Alanis Morissette, while Just Tonight or mainly Factory Girl could theoretically originate from Pink. Here, the album moves taken as a whole always somewhere between the poles of an alternative and hard rock, here is not softened, but catchy riffing and always concise vocals setting the direction for, and some of the lyrics is likely to slightly explicitly for American radio well, small taste of Goin 'Down:
