Packing:
The packaging is different than expected. I had already admired the clock in a store and there she was wrapped in a huge wooden box. The information provided by Amazon is supplied in a small Pappschieber but certainly a quality image. I think here Citizen has changed a bit on the package there is also here where the wooden box reviews mentioned. For me, at least not detrimental because the case one way or the dust in the closet only Währe. The manual is atrocious. A super thick part in 8 languages. But printed super small and 7cm to 10cm x small pages. I have now loaded me the manual in PDF format from the manufacturer's site.
Processing:
The build quality is beyond doubt. One already sees the clock from a distance at which she is high quality and not one of the cheapest. I could not find workmanship despite intensive search. One can only see live the beauty of this clock also. On images of great effect is the the glare sapphire crystal has (Virtually no glare, the one depending on the angle it thinks Währe no glass available) can not be seen. Even the radiant in the sun Black-gray dial acts on making only half as spectacular.
The only slight criticism is the slightly squeaky bracelet. The intensity but wear after a few weeks already waned significantly. I think that this will still give of themselves.
Operation:
The operation is compared to my Casio super simple. Once looked up and already I can adjust anything important without guidance.
Genauigkei:
For me the most important thing a radio clock. And that is also the reason why I give only 4 stars.
The second hand and the hour hand hit the lines absolutely perfect. Unfortunately, the minute hand is not. The problem is not by adjusting the default settings to fix. The deviation is in fact not always. When my clock really only in the range of 30-45. There, the minute hand hits with 2-5 seconds delay on the line (ie, when the second hand 2-5 seconds after the 12's). My old Casio EQW-M1000D is always 100% hit the bars. But I know now that this is normal in Citizen and is not a malfunction. Had before JY8020-52E two AS4020-52E had and there was a maximum deviation of 30 !!! Seconds determine (+ - 15 seconds to be exact).
After a telephone conversation with Citizen I know that this is normal because the minute hand is not guided.
Just to that again to make it clear. The deviation does not change the accuracy of the clock. She goes completely accurate. Only true the minute hand is not always exactly the line when the second hand is at the 12.
Conclusion:
Despite the small variation in the minutes I'm very pleased with the clock. With this small deviation (+2 to 5 seconds) I can live. And there are no real alternatives if you want Radio Solar sapphire crystal. I would buy the clock definitely be back.
Additional Information:
In my testing, I've discovered something that was mentioned here at any recession. Namely, the number of hops makes the minute hand per minute.
This has been interesting for me therefore as the game of the minute hand so is related to the number of jumps. More jumps = more pinion gear = less game.
So here's the Number of jumps of the minute hand per minute:
-Casio EQW-M1000D every 10 seconds (6 times per minute)
-Citizen AS4020-52E every 15 seconds (4 times per minute)
-Citizen JY8020-52E every second (60 times per minute)
