Second volume, and already a new designer, Charlie Atlard. Somehow, the most brutal graphics Atlard seems to me more appropriate than its predecessor, a bit "childish" ... except that, for the moment, it is clear that Atlard can not draw the faces (or at least make the characters look similar to themselves one space to another, which is a kind of minimum in comics, right?), and it obviously does not help reading a saga where there has just dozens of characters. Well, that said, and waiting to see if it will improve thereafter, the second volume of "The Walking Dead", which serves grosso modo base in the second season of the TV series, working the same topic as the first, but perhaps more clearly: it is the man, rather than the zombie, which is a wolf to man. We know that this is the central theme of the saga, much more in fact that renouncing the comforts of civilization and a return to "fundamentals" of life, and this is indeed a most interesting topic that zombies in themselves, which contribute mostly to add a constant tension in the background. Nevertheless problem, the consistency of decisions of the characters is at best doubtful, and the psychology of most of them very basic, which include heavily weakens the psychological aspect of a lot of scenes. In fact, I must be recognized that, as boring may have been the second season of the TV series, many improvements have been made in relation to this comic, especially in the motivations of Hershey and the denouement of the episode the barn ... To follow, therefore, but for the moment, without an inordinate enthusiasm on my part!
