Alternative Christmas

What a nice surprise. Tim Wheeler, head of indie rockers Ash and Emmy the Great, I (to make up for shame !, I have to) until then not even known to bring out a Christmas album. As Ash Mailing List Abonent you get that with fortunately, otherwise this album would probably perish publications Klibber the usual Xmas. What would be a shame, because this album is different. Emmy and Tim have indeed extensively seasonal music heard, VA Phil Spector, are everywhere Jingle Bells are heard, but all of the songs on this (short, 31 minutes) album are self-composed.

And fun! In addition to such lovely Dueten as CHRISTMAS MOON HOME FOR HOLIDAYS or that come the conventional soundtrack for this season closest, there are also some stunning pearls. Would have fit CHRISTMAS DAY (I wish I was surfing), for example, as we know it with Tim Ash, a song that's going on and also on one of the first Weezer albums. Or Emmy's solo with DO NOT CALL ME MRS CHRISTMAS, the 60s garb sound here is the story of Mrs. Santa is told, the love of the old every year more cool because the finally Christmas is not so at home. Or Zombie Christmas, a nice anti-Christmas song with 80's New Wave synth rumble comes a little dirty.

I know what droning in the whole of driving over the holidays from the car speakers. If we lived in a just world, this album would be the Michael and Bubbles Georg Michaels in the world this year behind. If ... we wish him that it makes at least a small group people happy ;-)
