The album is quite short, what a bit disappointed after all these months of waiting. But, what they offer, it certainly has in itself, is musically different (perhaps more mature?) Than the previous and quite varied. At first listen, the order of the pieces seemed to me still a little thrown together. This impression done at multiple listening but then quickly. So you can see the first half (the I like better than the second) described as very chilled and melodious. Beautiful melodies and hooks mate with a mature and powerful rap, which disappointed at any point of the album. So it comes to chilling piece 6, the first single "Super High", and that is what then to be the piece also suggests. All features convince up to this point, and I especially want to emphasize the King of New York Jay-Z, who a few words about the last rumors circulating loses in "Freemason", he had to do with so-called "Illuminati", and this nonsense confronts confidently and with humor.
The chorus in "Tears of Joy" is fantastic and the subsequent third part of Ross' "Maybach Music" series is topped by a successful Hook of Erykah Badu. You missed something beautiful and funny phrase "realest shit I ever wrote chillin 'in my Maybach", nevertheless it is a very awesome piece in which the Teflon Don runs towards the end to true top form. And also the Lord West shows us immediately afterwards that he is back in the building, and awakens in "Live fast, die young" the anticipation of its planned for September fifth album.
Now the second part of the plate, which acts initially tend harder and darker begins. "No.1" is the only piece with which I so far can not do anything. Following the bass rumble in the virtually identical pieces acting "Mc Hammer" and "BMF". You hardly notice here is that it is 2 pieces. Fetter is hardly possible. Also Styles P's part in producing catchy "BMF" Flowt this perfectly.
Following the summer returns. With "Aston Martin Music" it is very melodic again. A nice hook by Chrisette Michelle and an adjoining, on first impression may be somewhat out of place acting second of Drake but you can get used to quickly, combined with a typical Ross. Finally, the end piece is indeed still quite good, but remains behind most other back yet.
The only criticism that I see in "Teflon Don", as mentioned, that the disc with 49.23 minutes has become quite short. I wonder, for example, where "Mafia Music II" has remained, to which there was a video in the spring, which was associated with a further announcement of the album, and that probably not on Ross' recently erschienenem Mixtape "The Albert Anastasia EP "can be found. I was wondering briefly whether I should therefore deduct a point, but I think that there are also short albums that have earned this as unequivocally 5 Stars.
