It is a small useful tool when you want to save time by asking lengths bias (for example), so perhaps not very academic or unorthodox, but effective. The foot snaps, I use it on a Singer Curvy 8770 and it fits without any worries. There are two small mollettes: one for adjusting the width of bite, the other to fit through the slot-laying along the width of bias used. This walk me therefore been useful to ask long lengths of bias (hemming blankets, skirts circles ...), but with greater practice of sewing, I finally returned to the traditional method: Classic floor and two seams, because it seems more accurate in the end. It's all a matter of taste.
