I must preface this that I have now tried three different facial cleansing brushes in three different price segments:
The of Olay for about 25 euros.
The von Braun (with interchangeable attachment for removing facial hair) for about 45 euros.
And Philips, which comes on the test design, at least in my estimation. I got them in the "Sale" for about 111,00 Euro.
What do I get for my money?
A more or less high-quality box with the device itself, a cleaning attachment for normal skin and the corresponding charging station. In addition, the guide (unnecessary) and a lid for covering the attachment and transport are on the go.
How does it?
Basically it can be said that the brush does a good job. I've tried the version with only one speed and this is enough - strictly speaking, the 1st stage of Phillips is just as fast as the fastest (ie 2nd) level of Olay and Brown.
The brush attachment for normal skin is not too soft and not too hard, so just right. The additional costs for a variety of accessories, however, are a bit much: Up to 25 euros would be in the business (if you would because even shopping) pay per article, of course, wants to be replaced regularly.
The unit is - in contrast to the von Braun for 45 euros - pleasantly quiet and reminds people waiting outside the bathroom door, audiovisual, at least not too much of a vibrator or something equally embarrassing possibly-acting.
The effect is ... Yeah, okay. One should not expect miracles. I have the brush now about 8 weeks twice a day and use a little imagination it could be that the pores have around the nose minimally reduced, but surely I'm not.
But in the morning I find the brush become indispensable: I feel that I look faster growing than usual So, immediately after the use of course.. This is possibly on the well-perfused area under the eyes - and that's something that was absolutely impossible for the other two tested devices: Brown had had such bristles that I had the feeling that I'm so thin skin under the eyes broken - and Olay 'brushes are as mild as this toothbrush heads of Sensodyne that you can actually get it right.
The feeling of first use is certainly great and roughly comparable to the feeling you have when you brushing his teeth for the first time with an electric toothbrush. So: Feels cleaner than before, but you do not really know why.
The charging station is a letdown. First, I am inclined in principle to wrong reinzustellen the device around so that Ioden for charging not there ansetzten where they should. You have to adjust and therefore the device can not just blindly reinsetzen. Second, it's shaky, unstable and looks like cheap costume jewelery. And thirdly, the brush head in the morning is still wet, which makes me a little doubt the hygiene.
Are's worth about 100,00 Euro?
Yes and no. As for the appearance in the bathroom reminds this device in my opinion quite a stylish vibrator, the one so actually can not be lying around openly. Nevertheless, it is among those who are currently there so buying in the market, yet one of the nicer models. And: It's quiet.
The effect is okay, no wonder thing, but much better than Olay and Brown in the lower price segment, at least in the blood flow to the eye area concerns - ie where you look tired quickly or crumpled.
The battery life is great - twice daily use for a period of one week was not a problem, the unit to recharge for a letdown.
The timer is so-so. Allegedly, 60 Seconds So three times 20 seconds for each one cheek and nose + forehead + chin together. I used them always twice as long and editing also the chin, nose and forehead every 20 seconds.
There remains the cap for covering: Mies. She goes out again and again and also the transport of the device in the toilet bag on travel does not become simpler, but the control knob is still free and turns with the slightest pressure on alone. A bit of pressure on the travel bag so and the device is empty with bad luck on arrival. Here a plastic case would certainly have been more useful.
My story short: Is it possible to have, but you do not. A wet washcloth terry met surely a similar purpose, even if he does not like this look quite as good ...
