One should be about, by today's standards to acquire no middle-class smartphone here clear. There simply happert to the technical specifications. Nevertheless, Huawei has built an almost entirely convincing overall package here.
The main memory is 512 MB for sure one of the few weak points of the device. While it is possible to uninstall or disable various preinstalled apps, but also thereafter, at least 240MB RAM already in use by the operating system and default services charged. Here I would have liked an upgrade by Huawei to 1GB RAM. That should be a matter of maybe a Euro in the production and the unit had been upgraded dramatically.
The 4GB of additional memory at first sound little. But as can be expanded by using a micro SD card the memory easily to 32GB, the normal user should not reach its limits here.
Rather neutral I rate the missing LTE modem as can be achieved by the use of HSPA + and accurate data transfer rates in UMTS Nutz. We liked the LTE option previously not been lacking. This is also the relatively good wireless module is responsible. While it is not ultra-modern AC module available but with 802.11 / b / g / n all previous standards and the data transfer rates in the domestic mobile network are sufficient.
In these times of Full HD display with 854x480 pixels, a hype seems almost anachronistic. Comparing this with the 3 to 3.5-inch 320 * 240 screen, but they were still 2 years ago the standard in entry-level smartphones into perspective this point. The IPS panel is not only unusual (for this price range) 4.5 inches tall, but also proves to be in everyday use as a highly luminous and viewing angle stable. For me, the display of the Y530 is a clear advantage of the device! Even a small notification LED is present, the one no longer finds itself in many high-priced devices today. Exemplary!
The dual-core processor with 1.2 Ghz of sufficient size to all the usual apps and represent the two possible surfaces in liquid form. One should not expect miracles here, but in conjunction with the law current Android 4.3, we noticed the CPU performance at no time be a problem. This also applies to the built-up internal memory. I find this unusual afloat for this price range, file operations such as install / copy / move are from the performance point of no problem at all.
The Android 4.3 ensures compared to Y300 for a significant increase in battery life, our daughter invites the Y530 approximately every 36 hours (for adolescent-related relatively frequent use). Taking advantage of the Android Power Save options (Display Timeout, WLAN / Bluetooth off, flight mode overnight etc.) should be easily 4-5 days possible. A great value in my opinion. In addition, the battery is removable, which I personally find very important when you schedule the unit for more than 2 years.
The absolute weakness of the Y530 is certainly the 5 MP camera. Since this phone will arrive safely in numerous hands of adolescents with marked Selfie mentality, Huawei has something left to clientele in mind. The camera will unfortunately only average pictures and comes very poorly with clear low-light scenes like twilight or night.
Of the 0.3 MP front camera I speak not at all, which is not worth talking about, because you can draw the subject better :-)
Thanks for the comment below that! For me it is just obvious that you can use this front "camera" to nix. I would have had to of course make it clear)
We were positively surprised the built-in FM / FM radio, which is with other manufacturers now fallen victim to the pressure to make savings. There still exists and performs its services extremely well.
In short, I would like to mention the two user interfaces Emotion UI Lite and Simple UI. First falls directly on by a non-existent app launcher, that is all the apps are stored directly on the maximum of seven home screens. This is getting used to but no no-go. Otherwise, Huawei has filed decent job here, the surface is clean, all necessary functions and widgets are implemented available and useful.
Especially for older or visually impaired people can be interesting, the Simple UI, as there is a very minimalist and very easy to read due to larger fonts / icons design was applied. I think it's good that was thought in the times of the optical abundance in this direction, not everyone likes it klickibunt.
My conclusion for the Huawei Y530 falls overall very positive. Only the still very weak camera prevents the actually deserved 5 star.
If this review has assisted in their decision, I would be happy with a click on votes. Many Thanks!
