Broadly speaking, the mood of the Coraline soundtrack changes of 'mystical, beautiful and adventurous' to 'threatening and hopeless'. He covers a wide variety of genres; there are for example also jazzy deposits to hear with Udu Drum with Frettless bass, heavy Russian rhythms and almost purely electronic suites. Total much harp, full symphony orchestra and even the interesting synthesizer sounds. The music is both melodic and average weighted, and holds fast to the Mickey-Mousing principle. For inspiration is definitely safe hands here and I would recommend the soundtrack to all those who enjoy the soundtrack or new (modern) to search guides for their own compositions and hear how well you can combine acoustic and electronic instruments together.
I think it is in any case a great pity that the Coraline soundtrack compared to many major Hollywood music is unknown, though it in my opinion, definitely is superior to many.
