I had been a Canon iP4000 and was completely satisfied. The print quality and handling were perfect. Unfortunately, recently the color print head is defective. An exchange was either too expensive (original header) or from questionable source (China). Therefore replacement was needed. As well as current tests still attest to Canon printers best print quality and affordable price, the new Canon also another should be. Additional criteria included the ability to DVD printing, support for mobile devices, duplex printing, and high print resolution for photo printing. The choice finally fell on the iP7250, the maximum print resolution is 9600dpi here over 4800dpi at the multifunction devices with scanners in the same price segment. The Ti-Sa bundle offer with two sets Ti-Sa XL cartridges instead of one set of original setup cartridges (with probably less filling) for only 1, - EUR surcharge from the normal delivery was attractive to me and was ordered afternoon. The delivery took place already on the second day in their original box without outer packaging. The box had been opened in order to remove the original cartridges and settle the Ti-Sa XL cartridges, delivery notes and some in-house advertising. Otherwise, the content / delivery was unchanged. To start, I followed the included instructions (leaflet) step by step - and lo and behold, it worked without any problems. No bekleckerten hands or a full dripped table. You just have to, as described in detail in the manual, first remove the top film seal of the cartridge, only then remove the bottom cap and do not press on the side of the cartridge as possible. All cartridges are immediately detected (control light on the cartridge lights). After print head alignment with the included special paper - also ok. The connection to the wireless network using WPS / QSS button (Quick Connection button on the router) does not even took a minute. Only when installing the driver (Win7) from the CD supplied the printer in Wi-Fi was not immediately recognized, a new search ('search again' click) was successful. This occurred even if the driver installation (current driver from the Canon side) on a Win8 PC. In order for the printer was ready and was equipped with A4 plain paper in the lower drawer and 10x15 Glossy Photo Cards in the top drawer. Compatibility with mobile devices: Apple AirPrint is supported. The printer was found here again only in the second search. When iPad Air 2 can be printed directly from the pre-installed photo album App. Here no changes are possible and the printer automatically selects the photo card from the top drawer. If you use the Apple iOS and Android available for free Canon Easy-PhotoPrint App, the paper size, the print media and or without borders can be adjusted before printing. The Canon app runs with me properly on an iPad Air 2, a Sony Tablet S and Samsung Galaxy S1. The enclosed Ti-Sa XL cartridges are working so far without any problems. The first printed for testing photos look good. If you have any color distortions all the important parameters in the printer driver can be adjusted manually. The printer is not disconnected from the mains and was ready for use after switching on the next day in about 30 seconds. How the case after prolonged periods of rest, remains to be seen. The operating sound is to my mind in order and is no louder than my old iP4000. Media: I have been 180g / m² photo card in the top drawer, and 105g / m² ink printing paper and 240g / m² Rex Glossy Photo Paper (Aldi Süd) tried in the bottom drawer. All these papers were drafted clean. Now the only downer for me: There is no rear paper feed or no feed with virtually straight paper path! Ie there can be no stronger carton, for example be printed on greeting cards. Moreover, it is not possible to equip the printer A4 papers with two different DIN simultaneously and then select the desired variety before printing. For me, a serious disadvantage compared to the old iP4000. Although this was known before buying, but leads but also due to lack of alternatives by Canon, the depreciation of a star. Conclusion: I am very satisfied with the purchase. A good package with a versatile through the wireless printer functions, unfortunately without rear paper feed. With the included Ti-Sa ink quality photo prints and a perfect typeface for documents are possible.
