The tea tastes like the typical cheap black who stands around in the morning in rundown hotels in the pumping cans easily with lemon, with poor taste citric, not with real lemon juice added.
With Earl Grey has - even if I repeat myself - nothing, absolutely nothing to do.
The typical bergamot flavor, which only makes a tea to Earl Grey, is entirely missing.
Those who attest the tea a good or even authentic taste should, before maybe once try a real Earl Grey to let them know at all what they are talking.
I highly recommend the blends of tea Gschwendner (Earl Grey and Earl Grey's Lady Violet), even Messmer variant (whether loose or shaken) is a pure revelation, a radiant flavor fireworks compared to this Tassimo insult of every tea drinker.
I was not expecting much, but so not a little the best of intentions.
The resemblance to the original is that the drink is hot and fluid.
And that was it.
Luckily I only had bought in the supermarket me a small 16-pack for 4.95; to try before I had stocked up here with a year's supply. Thank God.
I would have been annoyed black!
---- Supplement from 03.24.2015 ----
In the meantime, I had bought a package - with our village-Real unfortunately that is the only type of tea.
And here it comes: If a disc there was not a light bergamot flavor, with all other (even from the same Kartönchen)!
So: A disc of 16 tasted of Earl Grey.
Apparently, there are considerable variations, even within the same batch.
This may explain that some people are happy with the Earl Grey, others - like me - again not at all.
And in the meantime 1 of 32, it remains of course at a solitary star.
I will write to the manufacturer today times; let's see if who has to say what.
---- Ergänzumg from 22.04.2015 ----
The manufacturer (it is Mondelez not Twinings - give only their name for it) reported back.
Unfortunately, as feared: Dümmlichste response from the set block box, a la "the highest quality, blah blah blah", "Your opinion is very important, blah blah blah".
Not a word you spoke about my complaint, did not care in the least for a trial that I retained specifically, had also specifically mentioned. I wrote back and made it clear that I would have a product sample, this would like to send.
Reaction: NULL. Perfect ignorance.
A week later came another email that asked me to evaluate the customer service, stating precisely the reasons.
I described all over again.
Reaction: NULL. Perfect ignorance.
It is simply Mondelez sch ... no matter whether your Earl Grey Earl Grey now as not taste or. There are no alternatives. And up there, relying Mondelez will probably continue to shave a damn about customer experiences, continues peddling a simple black tea with lemon as "Earl Grey".
Yes, it would be nice if you could forgive negative star.
