I have the Tolino bought Vision 2 a week ago in retail, where I him before also with the direct competition - could compare - a Kindle Paperwhite 2. What is striking in direct comparison that the Kindle has a slightly better display than the Tolino. But the difference is kept within narrow limits, and also on the Tolino is the font very sharp and easy to read. The display illumination is very good and evenly, so you can read very well and above all very pleasant and easy on the eyes even in the dark. What has given me the decisive factor for the Tolino and against the Kindle is the Tap2Flip function of Tolinos. I like touch displays in e-readers at all, because they bring some disadvantages during the operation (and possibly fingerprints. Schlieren, encompassing flip etc.). Such has the Tolino as well, but the Tap2Flip function gives me the opportunity to not have to use it to "flip". With a simple tap on the back can be turned over on Tolino, which increases the ease of use considerably. This Tap2Flip also works surprisingly well, the system already makes a very mature impression. It is not too much, nor too little pressure required. In addition, the sensor can only be operated in times per second, so an accidental double-click is avoided, and no page will be skipped. Especially in the beginning when you still have to get used to something this new feature (if you want to use it because) this is very useful. The device is also very good in the hand, is ergonomically designed very well. Weighing in at 174g, it is also significantly lighter than the Kindle Paperwhite 2 (206g).
My Conclusion: Who the best possible display is important, rather the uses for Kindle Paperwhite 2 (although the difference here between Kindle and Tolino really only is low). Who wants to have the highest possible ease of use, should opt for the Tolino Vision 2.
