An excellent, highly topical book

The authors make it clear in a very easy to understand, and most of them frightening way to go, for example by increasing specialization in medicine, reductionist study design, influence and pressure from the pharmaceutical industry, often just lost the essential information; as the sprawling landscape of complementary and alternative medicine can be seen as a symptom of what the "medicine" more and more seems to be lost: the sight of the whole.
"Psychosomatic" means a highly topical book about the psychological factor in the genesis of disease / suffering, but in addition also very enlightening as far as the understanding of disease and get sick at all, and how exactly the term currently inflationary and often thoughtlessly, used is.
Unfortunate that there is still no German-language translation, that I will recommend this book definitely.
