There are two ways to switch off the device: On the one hand it has a real small slide switch on the upper narrow side (thankfully, the switch position (display on / off) with a green respectively red color swatch.), On the other hand turns off the part, when the Play / Pause / Enter button is pressed for a few seconds. In the latter case, a "Resume" possible - - but ...
Reconnection by Play / Pause / Enter button * alone * does not make a return to the most recently heard! You end up first in the main menu, click on "Music". Then you have to again press the PPE key, then you end up - no, still not at last listened to, but the sub-menu "Media Library", where then the selection bar is on the top entry, "Music player". The PPE-button one more time, and one is at the beginning of the last played track (the last played audio book file), so do not * at the point * in the piece (audiobook file). That is, particularly at Audiobook: Either I hear may not at all times short end again (! Book files can also sometimes be large, at 30 minutes), or do I have to fast forward, Play, Fast Forward, Play, vorsp .... etc . until I arrive at a place that sufficiently close seems to me to the point where I had interrupted.
That, * so * implemented, is not what I call a proper resume function. My Creative ZEN Stone eg. makes it quite fabulous: switching - and on we go * exactly * when the interruption point! (Only just has the Stone unfortunately another Macke whose behalf I now must buy another MP3er (te).)
