My last device, the HTC Desire HD has just driven me to distraction. Failures, the relatively poor display and an underground battery life, thanks to the comparatively small battery.
What new was needed. Important points: battery life, good screen, but at the same afloat not too bulky, or not as clunky as the Desire HD. Admittedly, I flirted with the iPhone 4, the high price, however, not justified for me to buy. By chance I went on Amazon to the successor to the infamous Galaxy S passed rummaging. A 1.4GHz processor, Super AMOLED, 4-inch display but still acceptable dimensions for your pocket and a camera on the front! Also, the battery was already abundant with 1650mh betucht - with a smaller screen and a much larger battery than the Desire HD, I could not be disappointed here.
The unit I then ordered times with caution in mind, I still had the HTC Desire S, which, however, is when it comes to price / performance proportion to the Galaxy S Plus.
The package arrived, the packaging looked valent, the set on the back of "The Best of the Best" of course, was already nice, but I wanted to test it first himself. And I must admit: Despite plastic frame, the device feels not as cheap as I had feared. The display will also produce definitely something already hard on the border with "too loud and crisp", but in everyday life we react rather with a smile and the night in the car then just with "Wow. Real smart!"
Touch Wiz, I now do not think so, the yellow of the egg. Barely useful widgets, the surface itself is not so for customization such as. HTC Sense. Here HTC has really ahead, but thanks to free Launchers the Android Market, and this issue is settled. You can even be a surface with different apps together tinker at will, so far only half as tragic.

Speed:
Can I just say it hooks nothing, it falters anything and everything runs smoothly. Only video recordings in HD falter in the first few seconds. Then the device is picking up and delivers beautiful pictures.
Camera:
Good pictures. Nothing special. I lack but the double LED flash from my old phone ;-) flashlight function thus omitted.
Feel:
Nice design, very similar to the iPhone (at the front). Lightweight and easy to carry comfortably in the pocket.
Battery:
Prima Samsung ... Great! I am already a fairly consensual user terms what battery life. Hear a lot of music, check emails and synchronize some in the background, such as calendars, contacts, etc. surf regularly or use apps like DB Navigator, navigation, Earth, maps, etc. I can only say that I was not disappointed here. I get it loose out to make do without power at least 24 hours, if I do not do so much because it holds before 2 full days, but then I really am at the bottom. The battery but you need first to purchase beautiful "tranieren" and maintain. Full load, then run empty before fully charging it again. But after that it works wonders.
Delivery status:
This point can be found perhaps nowhere else, but for me also an important criterion: Many manufacturers of smartphones like install all sorts of useful and useless on their phones that function to uninstall is of course disabled. When you have all kinds of HTC, also much of what really annoying when navigating the menu. Even with Samsung one is this way - if only slightly - gone. However, it falls within the ambit.
