By design, the player is kept simple, which is actually quite nice from the optical ago. But also in the equipment one has unfortunately retained.
As with its predecessors, the data cable is advised far too short. In addition, custom one (if you have not purchased an optional accessory) always to load a running PC / Laptop to the player.
This works in other fine without the bundled software Songbird.
Also there is no possibility of memory expansion, and a reasonable equalizer.
In the sound settings Philips relies on its Location, location, full sound system, which provides pretty decent results in most cases. Sound enthusiasts are here but definitely out of place.
Why still always have to be a photo / video function with this just as in "small" players, I understand personally but still have not. With such qualities makes itself the view of his own daughter on this screen is no fun.
All in all we have here but a compact and easy to use player who does if you want to hear music with him, what he should.
The price performance ratio is however a bit uneven ...
