The Cramps where revered underground étatsunienne Culture 1950 (horror comic books, horror movies, horror rockabilly), the Oh Sees do the same for the years 1960. In addition, for this first LP d a new age group (according to wikipedia bio), the quartet offers a song alternating between Dwyer and Brigid Dawson, and a coffee and an organ, the type of details that are not found among the Cramps.
The A side is more rock, rockabilly between neo Gothic and neo psychedelia to the Brian Jonestown Massacre, with its garage and distinctive echo but fine products (hi-fi rather than lo-fi).
The B side rather includes ballads, in different registers, including the heavy psych final 'You will see this dog before you die', but with the same sound as the first side.
Although a skin under the compulsory figure and veneration of a number of cultissimes predecessors, the compositions remain fundamentally sound throughout the disc.
