The rock scene of the 80s Nantes was fortunate to have a group that lit concert halls. EV had the epic, live music and the beauty of the inventive new wave. Only a few titles were self-produced, pressed vinyl and bear witness to this happy period. Luckily, they met on this compilation. Set on a lp X was released in 1983 (a compilation of the Nantes groups) and was followed by two 45s (in 1984). These five titles and "red" (which had not been produced at the time and appeared for the first time in a version different from the one that was played in the early 80's) best reflect this energy and creativity then. Synths are soft, incisive guitar, bass and heavy drums, vocals and choirs air. Two mini-lp (1987 and 1989) complete the compilation and show some musical evolution. The tunes are always heroic synths but are less present leaving a spotlight on guitar and bass (and more warriors choirs). The set is very good and could find its place between Indochina (adventurer), Ultravox and U2 (boy / october).
