Logitech H800 headset cordless black

Hello everybody,

Before I write my own review briefly in a few words what kind of product I was looking for.
My headset should:

1) be at home as simple as possible to operate on the PS3
Ensure 2.) the way for good sound on smartphone and allow decent calls go
3.) can in the office with a Cisco softphone solution by holding an 8 hour day with occasional conference calls and occasionally some music.

When I visited with these requirements local electronics stores I was laughed at the comment "you are looking for a panacea." More proud I am to have found it but now!

Point 1 is optimally met. Both the operation via Bluetooth, as well as the per 2.4GHz dongle is a no-brainer in the device on the PS3. And the quality is outstanding. Not even the original PS3 headset has such a good voice quality.

Point 2 is also satisfied. Here it should be mentioned that this had really heard no other headset with so outstanding good voice quality via your phone. And I had a Plantronics Voyager Pro +, a Philips SBH9000 and Avantalk AS1 and Gioteck EX-1 as well as a Nokia Bluetooth Headset (Model unknown) for comparison. Because voice quality from H800 compared to the phone is my current interlocutors According virtually lossless. It may look a bit silly maybe walk around with such a giant headset on your head, but your hands are free and will be properly understood (also in public transportation such as bus or train). Here could be quiet as some manufacturers "a leaf"!

Point 3: Here came the 2.4GHz dongle used. I can compare this with a Logitech H555 Notebook Headset, a Plantronics C610, a Plantronics WO350 and a Logitech H760. And I want to say my current interlocutors noticed no difference between the wired Logitech H555 and H800 said. The WO350 like something better shielded, and have slightly better voice quality, but it also costs almost four times and uses the DECT transmission standard. The headset sits very comfortable and can be adjusted very nicely. So today was a 60 minute Telko no problem. Also mute the microphone was today again gladly and often used feature.

HiFi - For me, a separate point. I white out that this is my subjective impression:
Here I moved to compare a couple of Ultimate Ears Tripe Fi 10 and a couple of Sony MDR-V 700 Monitoring Headphones zoom.
Likewise, the Philips SBH9000 and Koss Porta Pro a few (just about anything from about the same "weight class" to have).
Of course, it's no surprise that the H800 can not keep up with the MDR-V 700 or the Ultimate Ears. These are also dedizidierte HiFi products. All in all, I find the sound of something H800 midrange-heavy. There are audible reserves for deep tones available, upwards, the air is thin but quickly. I think for this headset is also designed. Because it is still a headset. No headphones, designed for hi purists. He should just mainly reflect language. But he really does fabulously!
Logitech advertises the very precisely tuned drivers. So I have my my Studiosound computer and a few samplers that we otherwise use for sound checks made. The result is really worth listening to! Leaving aside the slight weaknesses frequency achieved the H800 excellent stereo separation and also a very clear sound. Particularly in the midrange.

Pro / Neutral / Contra List:

Pro:
+ Operating both via Bluetooth and via 2.4GHz dongle
+ Dongle can be easily stowed in a flap of the left ear
+ High call quality
+ Foldable Design
+ Operation possible via microUSB even while charging
+ Operation is intuitive. Buttons are easily accessible.
+ Mute works very well
+ Installation is straightforward
+ Battery is fastened by plug-in cable and is not firmly connected. Can be exchanged without problems and without tools.

Neutral:
o Ca. 3 hours charging time when the headset is not used excessively it.
o Ca. 6 hours of talk time as specified by the manufacturer are realistic.
o hi-fi sound is midrange-heavy
o headset sits comfortably (subjectively)

Contraindications:
- It could have been a bag / pouch can be there

Conclusion: In my opinion you get for 80 euros an excellent product which is still looking for its competitors. Because I do not come across with such a good call quality, no other Bluetooth headset. The design is simple and easy, yet technically and haptic very efficient. When it comes to hi-fi it's not a "high-end". But I do not expect at this price also. In short, the product succeeded. Strong buy recommendation! Keep up the Logitech!
