In recent tests of antivirus programs cut F-Secure with regard to the recognition performance of viruses etc. always pretty well off, I could not test the (thankfully) lack of viruses. Therefore, here mainly an installation and behavior during operation standings.
Installation is relatively fast and without a hitch, both on a laptop with Win 8.1 and on an old laptop with Win XP. Which reminds me has liked that F-Secure before installation once performs a virus scan and so ensure that it is not installed on an infected computer.
- However, an attempt is made at installation to introduce a preliminary website, when searching on Google is running. This means that all search items in Google are known because you do not need more malware.
A complete scan of the system went very fast on both computers, and also in the operation should be noted even at the very feeble old XP machine hardly any delay. It is apparently even looked for tracking cookies, you can then set or delete quarantined.
The operation of the scanner is simple and clear, and the list of programs in quarantine is easy to find.
- What bothered me a bit, because I'm used to it different from other programs: If the duration of the licenses is pegged to the date of installation on the first computer. If you install so a second / third computer later, the running time of the license is shortened to the other computers.
Conclusion: A good virus scanner with good recognition performance, easy to use and unobtrusive during operation.
