Then equal Tintin pure and test run. The picture is no better and no worse than my Sony BDPS186S.EC1. Also the sound is the same. Here Sony seems well to build in the same components. Or not? The drive of the BDP-S390 gives when playing a very loud bright beep. At first I thought, Well, that ceases again. But it was! When one amplifier despite a quiet passage in the film look, I could hear it well, with other films. It may of course be that it is an exception or production errors in my device. Then I tried my Sony BDPS186S.EC1. The does not have this problem.
The USB input is unfortunately very weak current. Some of my 2.5 inch hard drives were not run without support of power supplies. USB sticks are no problem. But I managed then even HD movies to the MKV format to play. Even with Dolby Digital5.1. Unfortunately, Blu-ray structures on a USB stick can not be played.
Otherwise, I can agree with other reviewers. Image, sound and equipment is very good. 3D can not play the BDP 390 unfortunately. That can only the BDP-S490 and BDP-S590. Who can do without the Wifi function I recommend the Sony BDPS186S.EC1.
Because of the unbearable beep I subtract three star.
Would be grateful for feedback, whether it is other buyers also noticed.
