(I will not address the "scandalous" side having already pay a lot of taxes (which increase ever) used to protect my property but do not, causing me to come out of the money to self-protect me).
Most:
+ The design is nice and quite stylish. It's discreet, small fitted bindings if you want to hang it on a ceiling or wall.
+ The LED indicators are clear.
+ Installation (iphone) is fast enough (even if I have to go about 2 times).
+ It works. From a distance, one can see and hear what are happening in our home.
+ Power toggle alerts (visual or audible detection).
Cons:
- The app was very poorly appointed overall. Looks like a app of the former Soviet era. (Well, I understand myself). We feel that the budget has been minimized, (even up hiring some trainees house IT development to do).
- There is a shift of species over 2 minutes when the app wants to, it receives an alert detecting a presence (or noise), the camera automatically records 30 seconds. OR, if it is assumed that a burglar is fast (like less than 7 minutes top chrono), time to start the app, to expect that the app connects to the network, see the minifilm of 30 seconds (depending on which trails to start reception) and then watch in real time what happens, to see that the guys are still there, call the police and wait 5 to 10 minutes it comes, we starts already with more than 5 mins late.
- No night firsthand (I hope the burglars think of turning on the lights).
- The "Premium" formula in the 29th year, I frankly have still not understood. Everything I say is that we have "crippled" the features of the app, and we do everything to remake me out of money, then I come to spend a substantial sum for the device. A bit of a catch pigeon that arouses frustration more than anything.
Verdict:
It is a beautiful device, but because of all the friction (slow loading, this ergonomic app evil ... etc), this "action camera fight against burglaries" becomes a finding device that we just got robbed, because it is too late to act instantly.
Overall, the gaps lie more in firmware / software (app) that the hardware (appliance) in itself.
I say yes to the purchase of this product for small budgets, but do not expect to scare or catch thieves.
