The plates are individually how you look at it from an external storage. Housing knows detected.
Unfortunately, I could not at first much with it, because the included power supply was broken.
I then very conveniently ordered a fitting in the bay so I could get started at least once. But pays attention when you want to do the same on the right with 4-pin. DIN connector and 12V / 12V and not as a hard drive PSUs usual 12V / 5V!
The optics and the processing are apart from the cheap, loud fan properly.
The fan (80x80x20 2pol. Connection will be replaced if it gets warmer)
brings nothing at front door closed! I've tested with a piece of paper, only when the door is slightly ajar, he draws the air out the back. And if a man has come up with so, should this be times questioned nice.
I have a 1cm thick piece of metal clamped between and through the magnetic holder on the door, of course, holds quite well the optics suffers. A pair of sleek vents have since done very well.
The fan can be automatically or manually regulate in three stages. Simply the Fan button until the desired lights.
The manual is a joke and describes virtually nothing but the four plates installed is also for inexperienced determined no problem because everything is self-explanatory.
Unfortunately mandatory plastic brackets must be screwed with two screws on the HDD Front to them on the one hand in case better to store and secondly so that they elicits again.
Time just a very fast plate changing is not necessarily possible.
What is unfortunately not described is the ominous sync button, it offers three modes: LED off-blue-orange.
In one test, I've found that this probably is the synchronization with the PC.
If the LED is "off", the box will always stay on and does not shut down the PC.
In the "Blue" She runs down but no longer works with the PC.
And at "Orange" everything goes fully automatic and the box goes with the PC on / off and moreover in a standby when not in use, this will light the power LED is no longer blue but also orange.
The drives remain well visible and when accessing a disk drive it automatically moves back up.
This setting I used and it works quite well with a small snag that they quite long does until the drives are available (about 30 sec.) But that depends also determined by the installed drives off.
The data rates are typical USB3.0 (eSata I have not even tried because of the known difficulties with Port Multiplier) and nothing to complain about.
The defective power supply I naturally can not be included in the assessment because then it has only times nothing to do with the function and performance of the product. (Well with the function then however already that can happen and yes You know what I mean ... ;-))
For the function and appearance (the somewhat unfortunately suffers under the open door!) But I will then still three stars awarded because even the basic idea of the device is fully met. Should it come in time still to problems I'm going this late filing timely manner.
