After unpacking / on waiting a longer setup procedure on me. This I had to endure then expects a very slow desktop about me. Minimizing / maximizing windows usually one sees an appropriate fading animation in Windows 7. This was "ex works" almost in slow motion. Until that time I had not yet made any adjustments to the system.
Remedy: I have "msconfig" shut down all non-relevant services via (previously set hook) and the tab "Startup" also all disabled. After that restored the normal Windows 7 Desktop and after rebooting the system was as fast as expected. Acer is unfortunately no exception, because most manufacturers overloaded the system with bloatware and convey to the user so (at least indirectly) the impression that Windows (7) is slow and has always been slow - too bad!
The keyboard is reasonably priced, but you should not expect a high-altitude flights. The touchpad works very well. Of this I was really impressed. In no way "rippelig" and sluggish such as. With a Lenovo G550.
An important point for me: The display is too dark on the brightest stage. Foul evil, unfortunately. The other day I had in this price range a Lenovo notebook (not the G550) in the making and there was much more convincing display brightness.
Pleased me have the two-year warranty (not guarantee) that would otherwise offer few manufacturers so. Good, old-experience, you need the Acer already occasionally ;-)
After the adjustments to the system, the system was convincingly fast, which I imagine that I have already experienced more upbeat i3 machines with 4GB of RAM ...
Conclusion: For the casual surfing and a little touch without large claims good for the part. But more should not be in my opinion. The notebook will not win a design award and is sufficient to meet the basic needs.
