Excited I was like Björk implements the very technical songs on the album Biophilia live on stage. Almost delicate and minimalist sound some of the songs here, worn by Björk's brilliant voice and a great female choir. The remaining sound is generated by a drummer who sounds rather discreetly in the background and the Lord of the keys on the keyboard and computer. In any case, is above all the fascinating voice of Björk, who still really cool sounds live and is presented here in all its facets. The one or other electronic sound thunderstorm, there are at the appropriate place. Highlight I want again the wonderful vocal performance of the choir, which is in perfect harmony with the songs and the voice of Björk, perfect runs along the dance performance of the choir ladies with Björk's movements, and so go and stand together on stage throughout the show.
Sonically convinced me this concert across the board. For example, the song Dark Matter, I as an original find rather difficult, I am fascinated here by the fervor and emotional energy that Björk brings in. Fascinating even older songs like Possibly Maybe, MOUTH'S CRADLE or ONE DAY appearing here as a completely new sound experience.
Visually, my many digital computer animations that are often displayed on this DVD in full screen mode (which were probably originally seen on the video screen in the hall) a little too much. Here would be more of the performance on stage and were thus connected to lighting effects better. Interesting one or the other camera pan to the audience would have been, what rarely happens here. So you would have to convey the live feel with the DVD a little more if you wanted to. But even here the artist has certainly meant something there. Also not so ideal for the transition from the concert was filmed SACRIFICE addition, why not just have here run ...? The song and the performance with specially aufgefahrenem mechanical organ (or whatever it is) is for a grand finale of a great concert.
1: 1, the songs were taken from the concert on the 2 supplied audio CDs, which is a super thing. The optical quality and beautiful packaging completes the package from beautiful and the little documentary Interview for Biophilia project on the DVD is worth watching, even if there are no subtitles, and everything is in English only.
