There are some not so great reviews, my expectations were not very high. The main thing to hear music again, even without need to constantly take care, as you take your jacket or simply without ever having the phone on man ...
I use the SBH20 with Xperia Z and have to say that the NFC connection did not work out right away from the 1st try, for whatever reason. At the 2nd attempt any case everything worked immediately and the connection remains stable even through 2 walls! About manual connection it is the same, is indeed coupled only in a different way, but Bluetooth remains yes Bluetooth ... A tip to all, which the headset is allegedly too low: The BT volume can be on the phone itself also adjust !!! Placing them on maximum and regulates according to the rocker at the HS, it is at the highest volume level of the already extremely high! For me, clearly too loud !!! I set it on the phone to about 80% and usually then fine per recipient, which has the advantage that the gradation is also slightly finer. Even so the loudest variant via rocker is still too loud, I then mostly as medium volume ... Can be that appropriate reviewers not on the phone, the BT have ratcheted up the volume, then the HS is in fact a bit quiet in the basic setting!
The recipient shall be firmly secured pleasantly small and the metal bracket on the placket of a shirt or collar from T-shirt. I also think it's good that the strap is tight, so as the HS rather not slip. Even the strap is just stable, so you have to bend a bit when attaching to a jacket, for example. But that should be no problem, since the bracket is not small or very thin but rather stable, even ... Thus, it should also be no risk that the eventually breaks off, unless you turn to constantly in the plastic range, but you must neither! The keys are quickly "learned" so that you intuitively forward, back, play, pause and volume will not and you have to constantly look a ... I would have after 1 Load the part does not have to recharge (approximately 2 -3h use), it has in less than 30min. (Rather 15 or so ...) already indicated with green lights, that it is charged to more than 90%. In general, the LED is useful and not interfere ...
The headphones are amazingly responsive to the price level. Clear, differentiated highs and good bass, depending on the settings on the phone. I have not yet been brought to tolerable volume the listener to crack! If at some point of their way to this is for me personally more than significantly above a volume technically tolerable range !!! I like listening to loud violent and fast Gittarenmusik and have to say that the headphones the super join. Also ambient noises are strongly damped and are no longer perceptible at a higher volume. I drive Nahverkehrsratterzug every day, which can therefore reasonably judge ... I think the listeners will cut more from than the standard parts of the Xperia Z. Also the sound can keep at least, even if the original parts are somewhat bass-heavy. For me the sound is well balanced.
Conclusion: For the 30-40 SBH20 is a bargain that of course does not need gimmicks like display or integrated speakers. Also no radio is installed, so that one will not receive, at least without trickery, on FM. The sound is well balanced, the volume and the dynamics of top amazing for this price range. Price / performance is very good, I would say ...
(Must be still tested) Now for some tricks that have occurred to me so.
1. Radio: Will you use the radio phone, so yes you have a headset jack to connect, since it serves as an antenna! BUT, you could from an old headphone plug a tinker vorgaukeln with residual cable as an antenna and the mobile phone, a headset was connected. The question then becomes whether you can still transmit the sound via BT or whether only the headphone output signals is then supplied? Remains to be seen ... EDIT: Tested and working! Radio with dummy + BT HS so no problem !!!
2. We have a car radio without BT, but with jack input for AUX. Now If you put a jack cable to where else a microphone a FS device sitting (mirror or A-pillar) and then couples the receiving part in it so you can build a FS light. The LED should be visible, because it signals incoming calls ... make radio to AUX, press acceptance button, voila! A device FS !!! Also music could be so without Probs on the radio to get ... No new radio or an external device FS necessary and you do not even sit with plugs in the ear in the car :) You can also connect the phone directly, it works well, then but is the thing somewhere on the WS disk or in the center console or similar This can be avoided on the cable, the phone remains in your pocket with the recipient!
3. BT interface for the home: Who, like me, use his phone as a music box that has to be coupled either a docking station or at least one cable to his phone with the system, unless you have a BT interface in the receiver or as Extra a Box / mouse ... So why not take the receiver of SBH20 as BT mouse? ;) Go also, you can then use his phone as a "remote control" and not have to search for skipping or title ever run for conditioning! So if no BT interface has at home, here's one for 30 Öcken!
4. Headset for Schleppi: The most laptops have now yes BT on board. Why not the SBH20 the Schleppi mate? One does not have time on it, it dispense with the phone coupled to let, as it accepted at the same time 2 different devices !!! So SBH20 Register as a headset on compiler and done! Fold also would :)
I'll retest the ideas times and check the quality and feasibility. If walking, so the SBH20 is a Alroundlösung that is absolutely inexpensive with 30-40!
Update: After I was fully satisfied at first this attitude into perspective now! I had already several times to fight with disconnects that just happen for no apparent reason. The device was removed from the receiver each under 0.5m and there was no interference sources !!! The connection is established via NFC worked only at the 3rd time and it was then 3-4x the connection is terminated at short intervals ... Funnily enough, then the connection was about 1.5h stable. Sources of interference can exclude me, no other BT devices nearby that could interfere, it was on the way. Therefore, I prefer a star off because the BT function is critical! More deduction is not required, because the function then was working fine until shutdown. It runs, but with occasional problems. My other tests were successful, you can use the SBH20 so as BT mouse or headset to the computer when having a BT interface. Also the sound quality is still ok for the price range. Hab with the EQ of the phones still played around a bit and found a setting that is both orchestral music, as well as Heavy Metal in good quality ear provides the enclosed headphones!
Update 2: The headset is defective and will be returned! When I get back a replacement part or a repaired copy I'll adjust the Rezi again. If then soon resurface defects or the connection is still disturbed in between there are more deductions for poor quality, a Monday device but one can always time to catch ... In the meantime, namely is hardly an operation via the buttons on the HS possible because because just so the connection is severed! It connects to it was mostly re, but the next time pressure on "before" the connection goes back to his knees. It is presumably the receiver is damaged, the problem occurs with different phones and disconnections are absolutely no longer a rarity, even without actions at the receiver ... If the Ausstauschgerät functioning normally, that gets SBH 20 again full 5 stars!
