But as it is written many times, the pre-configuration is just awful. The colors look extremely pale, the image blurred, almost spongy. So it would have made no fun. But you knew that when you read the reviews beforehand.
Since I have found only settings to Nvidia graphics cards and no one who operates the monitor to an AMD card, wrote a review about the Catalyst Control Center settings, I'll do that now again, and I hope therefore to be able to help a lot of people or . to define in their purchasing decision on these good monitor.
In AMD Catalyst Control Center (14/10/1006) one must first on the "Desktop Management" and then go to "Desktop Colors". There I have the value "gamma" in 0.85, the value of "Brightness" to -10 and the value of "Contrast" are on 120. These color correction applies to all channels, which can be adjusted via the mentioned values.
Now select the tab "My Digital Flat Panel", then click on "Display Colour". The value of "toning" stays with me to 0, the value of "saturation" is set to 130, "Brightness" on 2 and "Contrast" on 90. The color temperature control, I stand on automatically (function "EDID"). Those were all the settings in the Catalyst Control Center.
With these values, I have gained a really nice picture with rich colors, sharp contours and black level 1a. In the Monitor Settings myself I still have the value of "Brightness" to 100 (the rest on 0), and are the color temperature to "Warm".
Depending on your preference, these values can be changed in order to prevent possible color variations or highlight Preferences. For me, however, it is the perfect image. Also have sat long enough at it until it looked like.
Had I had any reviews available, I would have deducted 2 stars for this terrible pre-configuration. But I ordered it in the knowledge that I have to accept it himself. And I must say that it is well done and I can hardly imagine that others (even more expensive) screens provide such a good image.
All in all, I am more than satisfied and can only advise everyone, if he wants to save the money to add itself this screen. Configuration settings's yes to abundance, but now also from AMD. ;)
