Both make this film very well. But first things first:
FITTING:
Yes, the application of the film requires patience besides some luck. The display should be with a microfiber cloth (not supplied) are scrupulously cleaned. One should sit at a place not dusty and best also wait before until the ambient air has settled down in order not to disturb the dust. Then you go with slow movements, clean hands and rolled up sleeves to work. With a little practice it works then actually surprisingly good. You should plan, however, that you will do anyway least the first film unusable. At this price, it does however also not particularly hurt, most still have a second package in reserve. For me it worked absolutely perfect after the 2nd test very well and after the 3rd attempt. The back has the same even after sitting really perfect on the first try.
Film quality:
The film is very stable, clean and perfectly tailored. So perfect that you in the attachment should scrupulously align the edges, so that the film then at the other end fits just as perfectly and does not survive. The matte surface feels very valuable, the carrier film dissolves pleasantly light and without attracting dust. The film holds perfectly on the iPhone in good attachment and can not be moved or removed again without any tools with me. The failed attempts at attaching also showed that no adhesive residue. From a distance it does not recognize the film, but it is obviously not invisible. But it is also not so thick that you could be the edges "touch" and lift.
HAPTICS:
The new matte surface feels extremely valuable and noble. The finger sweeps easily and without resistance about. For comparison, one can underline his finger over the surface of a matte LCD - just a tad bit finer feel to the film. Even in the long term the operation remains pleasantly smooth, the feared smear from pure glass has set no longer. Very good! Especially the back of wins by the matte surface in my opinion also something noble. The logo and the font seem like easy iced. This is of course a matter of taste, I like it.
Display quality
The most important thing: Yes, the display loses under this film. However, not on brilliance (ie brightness and color), but its sharpness. The fine grain of the film is simply its bright display "in the way" and the presentation of works by equally fine-grained. The exact drawings of the Retina Display To prevent loss unfortunately. However, that really falls only from close up, in everyday life is quickly forgotten, because luminosity and contrast are fully retained with me. I can also detect any Farbbeinträchtigung - white remains white, it seems nothing doer yellowed discolored. Very nice. Pure sharpness Technically, the display approaches, however, a normal LCD monitor with a matt surface, which impairs grain just the sharp edges. In favor of better usability and, in my opinion, more noble appearance but I can live with it.
CONCLUSION:
For the still relatively small price you get excellent films. Is expected already in advance so that you have to sacrifice at least one film to practice the attachment without experience, you will quickly achieve with a little patience and a good result. Feel and look are simply very good in the film. The brilliance and brightness of the retina displays remains practically unaffected. The suffering, the sharpness, I do not chalk to be negative, as it simply brings the grit of matte displays with it. Will you crystal-clear focus, you have to buy crystal-clear film. For the operation enormously improved for me, the "iced" back I find visually to very successful.
All in all, I like to give 5 points.
