I had at the beginning as a huge fan of the first album also some problems with the new concoction of Royal Republic. The band had earned through their masterpiece "We Are The Royal" a place among my favorite bands. Then Addictive was released, which made me ever suspicious. It was just very different from each song on the debut. And I did not like it really. Nevertheless, I decided to give the album a chance and ordered it to me. And after the first hearing, I was first ... speechless. What about the playfulness of its predecessor? Where is Adam Grahn absolutely hot voice? I was (except for "Make Love Not War", "Astronaut" and "Let Your Hair Down") first disappointed.
But the more I listened to the disc, the more I could abgewinnen her. Suddenly then stood out even songs like "You Is not Nobody", "Be My Baby" and "Punch Drunk Love" that shone above all by its simplicity. And so I was then but a fan of the entire album. I like now really any number, and I just like to know how to listen to the previous disc. Would be boring if a band would not evolve somehow and would sound always the same (because we would then indeed in U2-like conditions;))
So, the panel give it a chance and write them not too quickly, simply because the predecessor was a masterpiece;)
