The present CD "The Best" is exclusively designed for the British market and therefore ends at right in 1988, since then Bonnie Tyler in her native Britain no longer been successful. But first, the CD contains the five big hits and timeless classics, with whom Bonnie Tyler both in the UK and in the rest of Europe enjoyed great success: from the evocative and at the same time melancholy Folkpopsongs "Lost in France" and "It's a Heartache", on the vast and lavish epic-rock numbers "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and "Holding Out for a Hero" to the lilting Rock'n Roller "A Rockin 'Good Way" as a duet with her compatriot Shakin' Stevens.
But the numbers that were placed mainly in the British charts, are also an absolute listening pleasure for the German Tyler Fan: Whether it is characterized by handmade harp sound midtempo number "More than a lover", it is the excessive bombast sound on "Faster than The Speed of Night "or dominated by a mixture of country and disco single" Married Men "- the Welsh with the smoky voice convinces in every sound robe.
From the perspective of the German fans but missing the '70s hit "Heaven" and "Here am I," as in this country successful the 1987 collaboration with Mike Oldfield ("Islands") and of course the outside Scandinavia and the German-speaking countries completely vanished comeback with Dieter Bohlen in the 90s.
From a British perspective, this CD "The Best" is thus a compilation of the highest order that has forgotten no hit. Who can do without one or the other early titles, and especially on the 90-year period under Dieter Bohlen Director and Bonnie Tyler's best time in the 70s and 80s look, which is served with this compilation here excellent. If you want more of a complete Hitsammlung known in Germany Tyler Hits of the 70's to the 90's, had better access to the CD The Very Best of Bonnie Tyler. Musically, "The Best" but an absolute treat, the Bonnie Tyler in different musical styles from Countrypop about bombast rock to break dance shows in the best time of her career.
