1 - this toy is not intended for children under 12 years !!! (Unless they possess untold powers) 2 - we adults had to disassemble and reassemble the vehicle 4 times to understand why it was not working when all was well assembled! 3 - my advice: - Be extremely Vigilant on record, scrupulously repectez the destination hole! - Remove all parts (PS: I confirm that nothing is missing but you said that the document is VERY poorly made) - Resume the engine mounting and observe what is indicated on the engine block 3rd (19 laps to go before screwing); do not try to push it up into the stem for this purpose, because we constté that forcing and eventually tighten, blocking the mechanism! Result: 1:20 to find how best to arrange the totailité screwing the engine block! - Once this step done, having verified that the motor drives the rotation axis of good, we discovered that the perforated metal coins had holes of various sizes ... So, we understood that choosing the smaller holes, there was no need to nuts !!! (Therefore, no missing pieces as was believed in the original) - Final hurdle: the two semi rigid rods green plastic ... that happiness! There, we have not followed the instructions and have placed all over the vehicle, do not forget to choose the other two rear insertion holes to take "ass" of the vehicle (yes, because otherwise there is continuous friction!)
In short, to sum up, that is three adults, two teenagers (which we loved them to lower than dirt!) We managed to operate this vehicle offered for our 8 year old son ... But it was without relying on his thinking: "yes ben good so it advance and retreat and after that ... given the time you spent on it, it not even interested!" ...
I therefore agree that Meccano could bother to test and test its products to children they evoke ages! ... MECCANO thank you !!! But vivid LEGO ...;)
