Positives:
-Beautifully packaged with printed manual
Neutral:
Processing is okay, not bad, but also
not above average
-The USB ports keep connected devices firmly but
no better than any cheap equipment.
-Schnellladefunktion (More on that below)
Negatives:
-Hochglanzdesign Attracts dirt magically (see picture)
-No More LEDs on the USB ports
Conclusion: I'll keep it because I need a hub and I do not need to exchange too much effort, but again I would not buy it.
Quick charge:
According to instructions, the two black USB ports can each provide 1.2A and thus smartphones, tablets, etc. recharge faster. This works when the PC is switched off and the Hub is powered only via its AC adapter. Alternatively, you can at D-Link load a program down, allowing the same time to load and use the device. Thus you should probably be careful: A USB2.0 device can be up to 0.5A consume, at 7 ports would be the 3.5A. Alone so the supplied 3A power supply would be overloaded.
Conclusion Fast charging: Beautiful but lousy idea implemented. It could be so simple: attach a 5A power supply and enable the quick charge function permanently.
