What I find very positive:
+ The Design
+ Very nice menu
Implemented + Annehme- and hang-up as softkeys
+ Powerful speaker
+ Wi-Fi
+ Capacitive Touchscreen
+ Display wider, but not as long as z. B. the Star II
Unwrapped, very pleased on. But when I saw the 08/15 operating system, which is already (in much the same way) the Ur-Star (GT-S5230) was used to my hair stood on end. Of course I had no Android, bada or similar expected, but this operating system is simply outdated. That hammer out better with the very bada 1.1-like surface itself the predecessor Star II. Too bad.
(Since this is my subjective opinion, I recommend to go in a electronics store and see for themselves about the matter.)
Points that did not like me:
- As I said an outdated (in functions, possibilities and Design) OS
- Very unkonfortables scrolling through lists
- No multi-touch
- Phone will not automatically switch from vertical to horizontal if you rotate it
- No virtual QWERTY keyboard
- Separate incoming and outgoing mail
- Annoying Browser
Conclusion: 6 of 7 negative points have been improved at the Star II, unlike the original Star. I had hoped that with the Samsung Star 3 again drauflegt a shovel, but unfortunately this is not really the case. An hour and a review later me now is clear: The phone goes back. Incidentally, I vacillate 2-3 stars, but forgive because of Verschlimmbesserungen only 2 out of 5 stars.
Updated on 25.03.2012:
Since 2 weeks I have now the Samsung Galaxy Y, a thoroughly successful entry-level smartphone with Android 2.3 and pleasant working speed. Disappointed, I was not here. So look at it, if you're looking for an alternative to the 3 Star.
