This bag consists of two parts, namely a lower and an upper part. These are connected securely by means of three press studs.
Then the lower of the three pushbuttons will be opened and folded back the upper part up to take pictures and it will be open all three pushbuttons and the shell removed completely.
The base is also provided with a thumbscrew that you screwed it on the tripod mount with the camera base.
If battery or memory card is inserted, the lower part must be unscrewed from the bottom of the camera, but this can be done in a few seconds and is not a defect.
As Upper black, slightly grained leather is used. This seems to me high. The quality of the welds is not objectionable. Inside there is a black velvet fabric. The camera is well protected against scratching.
Between leather and velvet moldings are let, give the bag the necessary rigidity. I suspect it involves cardboard as they have been used previously in the manufacture of suitcases or today also used in shoes. I happen to know that this board is surface-treated and / or contains a proportion of soda to prevent the absorption of moisture from the ambient air and thus a swelling of the material.
Positives:
+ Bag fits optically very well for GMX7
+ Materials and processing are high
Negatives:
- Pocket only fits flat lenses in pancake design *
- MSRP of 99 euros is completely covered (for 1 star deduction)
I've been buying the bag does not regret, especially since I paid only 59 euros for it. That's still a steep price for such a small bag, but I -As finde- adequate.
